Multi-Family Villa in Calonge - Kid Friendly Pool

Disappointing experience, not what we expected Positive: Great pool, spacious property in a quite area. Negative: We holiday in a villa every summer and have had wonderful experiences across Europe. Unfortunately, this villa experience fell short of our expectations, especially given the cost for a 7-day stay. Cleanliness The villa was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. Cupboards were filthy, dirty dishes were in the dishwasher, litter was floating in the pool, windows were dirty, and the outside area was unswept. The cleaners returned but claimed this standard was “normal" and they had spent 7 hours cleaning it. Broken Dishwasher The dishwasher was broken on arrival and promised to be fixed by Monday. However, it remained broken four days later, forcing our party of nine to wash dishes manually, which was very disappointing. Broken Sun Loungers The villa, which accommodates ten people, had only four sun loungers, two of which were broken. A temporary fix was made by one of our party, but it is unacceptable not to have basic working loungers. Unsecure Property The sliding door in the lounge could not be locked, posing a security risk. Maintenance team arrived to arrived but no one came back to fix it, leaving the property unsecure throughout our stay. Poor Management The property is in poor condition and does not match the photos. Issues included cupboard doors fallen off, exposed electric cables, dirty and substandard linen, and gardeners making the pool area unusable for four hours on our final day. Cleaners arrived at 6 am on our departure day, despite an 11 am checkout time. Additional Warning One of the double bedrooms is in the basement by the pool, inaccessible from the main house with no AC and smells damp. We had to move the bed upstairs, resulting in three children sharing one room. The numerous issues significantly marred our stay. The owner’s refusal to discuss the problems directly was disappointing and indicative of a lack of interest in guest experiences.
